Pamela Dyer

Pamela has flown commercial and corporate charters, as well as piloted and broadcasted the aerial traffic watch over Baton Rouge. She has been owner and partner of real estate investment companies, has owned and managed a full-service florist and courier business, and worked several years in interior design, her field of study at Louisiana State University.

Pamela currently tours U.S. and international churches, as well as hospitals, prisons and nursing homes, playing her harp and delivering her personal testimony and punchy Bible teachings.

Pamela has explained to several television interviewers and congregations that the Lord spoke to her in 1989 in the middle of the night, telling her, "Play the harp." This happened nightly during a two week period. Pamela does not have a musical background, nor does she come from a musical family, and Baton Rouge is not exactly the nation's harp capital. Nevertheless, she is enthusiastically obedient to this strange calling.

Dyer does not finger and stroke the harp as much as she wrestles it down, energetically applying handholds to gain certain tonal effects and spontaneously crying out, "Praise God!" or "Alleluia!"

Sometimes she incorporates blues rhythms into favorite hymns like "Amazing Grace" and "Were You There?" The effects on listeners, including non-believers, is compelling and mesmerizing. This reaction Dyer herself relates to the force of her anointing, a gift of the Holy Spirit.
